Pool Features
Forest Lawn Outdoor Swimming Pool is operated by Benchmark Properties Ltd. in partnership with the Calgary Outdoor Swimming Pools Association. Forest Lawn Outdoor Swimming Pool has two pools – a main pool and a wading pool. Both pools are heated, filtered and sanitized 24 hours per day.
Main Pool
- Eight lane, 25 meter lap pool
- 1.0 meter depth in shallow end
- 1.5 meter depth in deep end
- 1.8 meter high on deck water slide
Wading Pool and Spray Park
- Zero depth entry
- Depth is .50 meters
- Water Spray Ring and 5 floor spray nozzles
Facility
- Change Rooms for Women and Men
- No coin operated lockers on site, it is recommended you bring your belongings on deck with you
- Temperature controlled showers
- Bathrooms
Concession
- Concession sells prepackaged foods and drinks cash and debit (over $5.00 only please).
Lifeguard Supervision
- The pool is supervised by qualified lifeguards during business hours.
Public Swim
- Forest Lawn Pool offers public swim daily. All children under the age of 8 must be within arm's reach at all times. Life jackets available free of charge.
Programs at Forest Lawn Outdoor Pool
- Daily Public Swim: All children under the age of 8 must be within arm's reach at all times. Lifejackets available free of charge.
- Lifesaving Society swimmer level lessons between 11am-2pm Mon-Fri in July/Aug.
Pool Rentals
Forest Lawn Outdoor Pool offers private rentals:
- Monday to Sunday evenings from 8:00pm-9:30pm
- Weekend mornings from 9:00am-12:00pm- *Please book both the 1 hour and 2-hour rental slots if you would like a 3 hour rental*
Private rental registration will be done online through the registration page. Rentals will be available to book starting May 23rd and will be first come first serve. The rental rate for 2023 is $140.00/hour for one pool and $160.00/hour for 2 pools, up to 40 people. For rentals with more than 40 people, please contact the pool directly for price inquiries, as additional lifeguards are required.
